Throughout the week at GracePoint or in homes around the area, small groups of 6-12 adults gather together seeking to develop their walk with Christ. They study together. They pray together. They laugh together. They cry together. In short, they are doing life together. These small groups are the lifeblood of GracePoint, and we believe that participation in a Grace Group is crucial for anyone who is a believer or regular attendee of GracePoint.
It is our belief that small groups are the model for how the church is to function in relationship with God and each other. (Acts 2:42-47, Hebrews 10:25). In a small group a person is placed within a relational environment with other Christians and a leader who can help them become a mature follower of Christ. Jesus’ interactions with the disciples clearly demonstrate that small groups are an essential part of Christian growth.
Small Groups are Jesus' model for discipleship by:
• Developing meaningful relationships.
• Growing in faith and the personal application of God's word.
• Shepherding people and ministering to their needs.
• Holding each other accountable to the work and grace of God in our lives.
Groups meet various days & times and each group chooses it's own study (book of the Bible, video study, book study, etc.). New people who are interested in joining a group sometimes join an existing group or start with a brand new group. This is one of the best ways to get to know some people at GracePoint quickly.
You are more than welcome to start out by visiting one of our existing groups that has openings or communicating that you would prefer to be part of a new group.
