GracePoint’s Finance Committee is partnering with Phil Dahlof from Thrivent Financial to present four different “Money Matters” financial seminars to help prepare and equip you financially through different seasons of life. These interactive workshops include worksheets and exercises you can use on your own to take positive steps with your personal finances and even start money conversations with your kids. The workshops are educational only; no financial products will be sold.

Tuesday, March 5 Finding Money to Save This first session focuses on saving for your goals and identifying a sound strategy to do that. Are you ready to get started? Join us for this free, educational workshop where we’ll explore ways to increase your income, reduce expenses, recognize spending leaks and harness the power of compound interest.
Tuesday, March 12 Parents, Teens & Money Matters Advertisers are talking to your teens—you should be too! Learn how to help your teens make intentional money choices in how they share, save and spend. Increase your understanding of stewardship and get tips for talking about money and values in your family.
Tuesday, March 26 Retirement Accumulation Strategies How much should I save? What type of accounts should I have? Learn how to build a strong and adaptable financial strategy. This workshop can help you be more confident in what you’re saving for retirement.
Tuesday, April 2 Your Legacy: Family, Church & Charity Are there people and organizations you care about and want to help financially? Learn strategies around sustaining your church’s foundation, supplementing an endowment fund or leaving an inheritance.

 

About Phil Dahlof

Phil, former Junior High Pastor at GracePoint (2003-2008) returns to us as a Financial Consultant with Thrivent Financial. He specializes in retirement income strategies and estate planning. His desire is for all people to understand God’s generosity so that many will see their need for Jesus! Phil loves spending time with his wife, Meghan and their boys Benjamin (15), Jordan (13) and Jaden (3). His favorite hobby is coaching youth baseball which he does in various capacities during 10 months of the year. He cannot wait to catch up with the GracePoint family he has missed connecting with regularly these past few years!
